F.A.R.T.S.

In 1986 three friends got together for a bushwalk in the Snowy Mountains of NSW, Australia. So much fun was had they decided to make it an annual event. Thus was born F.A.R.T.S. (Fellowship of Artful Rambling as a Therapeutic Science)(also known as Fine Art of Restaurant Touring in the Snowies. There are obviously no restaurants in the wilderness but we carried enough gourmet food to start one!)

We walk for the fun of it, for the company and to get away from our busy stressful lives.

In the mountains we recharge our spirits and come home reeking of campfire smoke.

We take photos, eat great food (thanks to Peter), drink what wine we can carry (thanks to sommelier Bob) and write “bush poetry” in quieter moments. We have explored and marvelled at some of Australia’s most beautiful natural environment.
